Uncompressed phone photo transfer

Send original phone photos to your PC without a chat-app detour.

Keep the original dimensions and file information without putting photos in a chat app or cloud album first. Choose the PC and send directly.

THE FRICTION

Quality loss often happens before the transfer starts.

Chat previews, automatic compression, and cloud-album sync can change the file before you save it.

  • 01Chat tools recompress photos or video
  • 02Platforms limit file size or format
  • 03Cloud sync creates another copy
  • 04The original save location is unclear after reception

The route

Find the friction first, then choose the shorter route.

Common routeLONGER PATH
  1. 1

    Reinstall repeatedly

  2. 2

    Switch networks at random

  3. 3

    Upload the file elsewhere

  4. 4

    Check permissions last

Without finding the cause, more retries only add waiting.
Local routeSHORTER PATH
  1. 1

    Verify device and network

  2. 2

    Check the system conditions

  3. 3

    Discover the target again

  4. 4

    Follow transfer state

The license service handles access; content stays on the LAN.

Why this feels simpler

Use the file route for original photos.

01

Select the original file

Choose the exact photos and video from the Android system picker.

02

Receive directly on Windows

Receive on the online Windows device without signing into web chat.

03

Verify the result

Check filename, size, and completion instead of trusting a compressed preview.

How to start

Send originals from Android to Windows.

Check filename and size before and after transfer so a preview is not mistaken for the original.

  1. 01

Put both devices on one reachable LAN

Open both apps and confirm the target PC is online.

  2. 02

Choose the original photo or video on Android

Use the system picker to select only the content you intend to send.

  3. 03

    Select Windows and send

Check the destination name before sending.

  4. 04

Verify the file in the PC save folder

Review size, extension, and completion state before backing it up.

Privacy and security boundary

No recompression is not a promise of absolute security.

CipherTransLocal transfers files between devices on the LAN instead of uploading them to the licensing server. Whether another sync tool uploads the receiving folder follows your settings.

  • Verify the destination PC first
  • Check size and extension after reception
  • No need to disable system security

FAQ

Original phone photo questions

Does it automatically compress photos?

CipherTransLocal sends the selected file rather than a chat preview. Still verify the received size and extension.

Can it send 4K video?

Yes, as a file. Completion depends on LAN stability, PC capacity, and storage performance.

Do I need Google Photos or cloud storage first?

No. Content can move directly between reachable devices on the same LAN.

Will the PC automatically upload the received file?

If the receiving folder is covered by OneDrive or another sync tool, its settings may upload it. That is outside the transfer channel.

Do both devices need to use the same Wi-Fi?

They need to share one reachable local network. The PC can use Ethernet while the phone uses Wi-Fi if the networks still allow device-to-device access.

Does LAN file transfer require internet access?

First activation, account management, and updates use the internet. Actual text and file transfer happens on the reachable LAN and does not require a constant internet connection.

Why are devices missing even on the same Wi-Fi?

Guest mode, AP or client isolation, Windows Firewall, VPNs, virtual adapters, and Android background limits can block device discovery.

Can I transfer a file that is tens of gigabytes?

Large files are supported, but completion depends on receiver capacity, file system, Wi-Fi stability, and storage performance.

Will a received file be uploaded to cloud storage?

CipherTransLocal does not upload content to its licensing server. If the receiving folder is covered by OneDrive, Gallery, or another sync tool, its settings decide whether it uploads.

Does the free trial require a payment method?

No. The current three-day trial needs no payment method and no lifetime activation key.
